Tokyo Triangle

A bizarre blend of butoh and jazz dance direct and choreograph by " Kenji Kawaraski".

The dance shows the rite of initiation. It is an exploration of the awakening of sexuality. An illusive stranger appears / disappears arousing desire.

Unreachable are our dreams till we are able to realize our own true identities and come to terms with our body and spirit. A combination of the erotic and the grotesque.

The show, which comprises both the erotic and the grotesque, is a unique mixture of modern dance, jazz dance, and Japanese butoh dance with elements of humour and the bizarre.

The theme deals with the awakening of sexuality and the realization of desire. This is certainly not your ordinary dance performance!

Tokyo Triangle was formed in 2001 when 3 dancers got together to create a
piece for the Edinburgh Fringe.
